cigarettes
As a smoker I still want to rights to smoke in my own vehicle and not have to listen to non-smoker talk about how bad it is for me. It is a choice I am making for myself. If someone has something to say about it, Keep it to him or her. I was walking downtown with the baby (I was babysitting) in the stroller and had the baby completely covered up and I was walking behind the stroller, and the smoke was hitting my face and some goody goody walked up to me and felt the need to tell me that I shouldn’t be smoking around the baby. I was walking downtown, in the middle of the sidewalk with LOTS of fresh air, but they still felt the need to explain to me the side effects that it could cause. My mouth dropped and so did the mothers (she happened to be with me). Non-smokers I will respect your right not to have your air polluted by my cigarette smoke, if you respect my right to walk downtown with a smoke in my hand. I don’t smoke in restaurants or during meals. I smoke in the privacy of my own vehicles, always with a window down and attempting to blow the smoke out of the window, and I do own the car. If I know someone doesn’t like the smell of smoke or has issues with it, I will not do it around them. I have issues with non-smokers who think that it is their job to point out all the ill effects, who is going to shut them up and let me make my own choices if I am not hurting anyone and smoke outside??
